The Air Force Times--The Air Force Academy identified a cadet who died at a hospital Sept. 28 after being found unconscious as 22-year-old Matthew Patrick.

Patrick was a senior aeronautical engineering major. He was a native of Dallas. The cause of his death is under investigation, according to a news release from the academy.

“The academy family is deeply saddened by the death of one of our own. Our heart-felt condolences go out to the family and friends of our cadet,” Superintendent of the academy Lt. Gen. Mike Gould said in a statement. “Our Air Force family is grieving this loss, and we are committed to helping the family through this extremely difficult time.”
