Communications Squadron Rated "Perfect" in Inspection, Makes History

A combat communications squadron here earned perfect marks during a compliance inspection, making history along the way.

The 51st Combat Communications Squadron became the first squadron in the history of Air Force Space Command to earn a 100 percent compliant and an outstanding rating on the Logistics Compliance Inspection Program.

The LCAP is used to provide leadership with an evaluation of a unit's ability to perform key logistics processes in a safe, standardized, repeatable and technically compliant manner.

The 51st CBCS excelled in dozens of inspectable areas including commander, maintenance, training and logistics programs with zero discrepancies.

Museum Calls for Volunteers

Museum Calls for Volunteers

The Museum of Aviation is looking for volunteers to greet visitors in its hangars and buildings and help with aircraft restoration.  “Volunteers do not have to be retired military and can be men or women over the age of 17,” says Dan Hart, Museum Volunteer Coordinator.  “We’re especially looking for volunteers in our buildings on the weekends but also during the week.  In aircraft restoration we’d like people who are skilled in corrosion control and structural repair to volunteer Monday through Friday.”
