"Planes and Trains" exhibit runs at the Museum of Aviation
Dozens of small rail cars, and trains have set up shop at the Museum of Aviation for a limited time. The Middle Georgia Model Railroad Club is hosting their "Planes and Trains" display there. President of the club, Bryan Combs, says the exhibit offers over 600 feet of track and hundreds of rail cars. He says club members worked together to build different sized modules, then personalized them to create scenes like "Thomas the Train", and a Christmas village. "It's a great way to learn different skills like wood working, electrical, and a chance to be creative," said Combs. "They put so much detail. I mean it's not just the trains. They have the cars, factories, airports, and they have lights, all kinds of things," said Michael Cashman. The "Planes and Trains" railroad model display will run through December 1st, at the Museum of Aviation. The museum is open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Admission is free.
